A Flashback in Time

Since 1971 An Poitin Stil has many of the features that were part of the original cottage and surrounds. Distillery barrels line ceiling in the lounge leading to an authentic whisky stil inlaid above the open fire place that has many of the working parts intact including the copper kettle & boiler that is still in use today to help heat the premises. Many of the original beams are used in the support structures and in the front public bar where the counter dates back before the 1970s. There are many unique displays scattered throughout the property including a letter sent from a passenger on board the titanic the day of its first and only sailing. There is General Tom Thumbs Jacket, The football & tickets used in Crooke Park on Bloody Sunday in 1928 along with many other sporting memorabilia and genuinely traditional Irish pieces.

This property is one of Ireland’s most famous eateries known all over the land for its ability to cater for all tastes and pockets it has Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner available all day every day.
